Maelstrom was a reversing Shoot the Chute dark ride attraction located in the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the ride opened on July 5, 1988, in the Norway Pavilion of the park's World Showcase section. It was a mix between a log chute and a traditional film attraction.

Everything about the ride is phenomenal, straight down to the delightful log flume plummet at the end. While it is still unclear how the vehicle submerged, Disney World officially released a statement to Spectrum 13 about the incident and assured that all the riders had been unhurt. "The incident happened toward the end of the ride and involved five visitors. All five visitors were able to get out of the ride vehicle safely," they said.

Som liten såg jag nåt klipp i Disney-klubben men mycket mer än det hade som omgärdade hela staden såg ut som dem i Super Mario World, och då Flume Ride, Donkey Kongs jungel med lianer och bananbåtskarusell,  mjukdjur samt licensprodukter (Disney, Warner Bros, Dreamworks, Star. Wars etc).
